About

We started PedaSys because learning had got complicated.

Eight years, hundreds of hours of courseware, and one stubborn idea: the course that works is almost never the sophisticated one.

Our story

Sridhar Subramaniam spent thirty years in learning and development across three countries, building training for multinational clients. He kept noticing the same thing. The courses that worked weren't the elaborate ones. They were the clear ones.

Richard Feynman had a rule: if you can't explain something simply, you don't really understand it. Sridhar thought that applied to instructional design more than almost anywhere else. Most bad training isn't badly produced — it's badly understood. The subject expert knows the material; nobody has done the work of translating it for someone who doesn't.

In September 2018 he started PedaSys to do that translation properly. The name is short for Pedagogic Systems, because the pedagogy has to come first and the system underneath it has to actually hold. Stanis Packiaraj joined as co-founder within months, and the two have run the company together since.

Eight years on, the technology has moved further than anyone expected. We've evaluated more than 150 AI tools and built five of our own. But the founding position hasn't shifted. Technology makes learning faster to produce and cheaper to scale. It doesn't make it clearer. That's still a design problem — and it's the one we're good at.

Three things we hold to

Simple pedagogy, solid technology.

In that order. The best authoring tool in the world won't rescue a course that hasn't decided what it's teaching.

Complexity is usually unfinished thinking.

If a concept needs a diagram with fourteen boxes, it hasn't been understood yet. We keep working until it doesn't.

We solve learning problems, not technology problems.

Sometimes the answer isn't a course at all. We'd rather tell you that early than build you something you didn't need.

The people you'll actually work with

An office in Chennai and a team spread across India, working from wherever we work best. No account-management layer between you and the people building your course.

Who we work with

Some of India's most demanding academic institutions — business schools, technology universities and online degree providers — alongside EdTech platforms and corporate L&D teams building at scale.

We don't publish client names. Our work sits inside other organisations' programmes, and whose logo goes on a website is their decision rather than ours. We're glad to talk about specific engagements once there's a conversation, with the client's agreement.

No sales layer, no qualification call. You'll be talking to the people who'd actually run your project.
